The structural elegance of the classic romantic comedy continues to find its most reliable modern home within the South Korean television industry. Our Sticky Love, a new twelve-part television series directed by Kim Jang Han and written by Mo Ji Hye, is scheduled to make its global debut on Netflix.
The production marks an intriguing departure from standard urban romances, blending high-stakes legal suspense with a classic fish-out-of-water comedy. The series relies on a highly chaotic premise to challenge the conventional boundaries of the genre.

The premise introduces you to Go Eun-sae, played by Ha Young, an elite and exceptionally clever prosecutor working within Seoul’s competitive Anti-Corruption Investigation Department. Eun-sae’s structured life is completely upended when an unexpected accident leaves her stranded in a rural hospital with severe amnesia.
With no memory of her past, no documentation to prove her identity, and her city instincts still entirely intact, she wakes up to a bewildering new reality.
Standing by her bedside is Jang Tae-ha, played by Jung Hae In, a former youth boxing champion with a complicated past who now operates as a small-town athletic coach. Tae-ha immediately presents Eun-sae with a shocking claim, introducing himself as her romantic partner.
With no other connection to her forgotten life, Eun-sae has little choice but to rely on this rugged, sweatpants-wearing stranger, moving into his home in a quaint countryside village known for its traditional taffy production.
A Dangerous Undercurrent
The promotional footage released by Netflix indicates that the series will carefully balance its comedic elements with a darker, more suspenseful narrative thread. Underneath the daily bickering and the awkward domestic adjustments of the central pair lies a genuine threat.
Before her accident, Eun-sae was actively tracking a dangerous crime syndicate, a pursuit that has left her and Tae-ha targets of a powerful crime boss named Baek Sang-gil, played by Heo Sung tae.

Jung Hae In, recognized for his nuanced work in the military drama D.P. and the romantic series Something in the Rain, brings a mixture of physical athleticism and emotional depth to the role of the protective boxer.
Ha Young, fresh from her performance in The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, provides a sharp, energetic counterpoint to his quiet, protective demeanor. The supporting ensemble features several of the country’s most reliable character actors, including Jeon Bae Soo, Seo Jung Yeon, and Jang Hye Jin.

The production tracking logs show that filming for the twelve-part project concluded last autumn, allowing the post-production teams ample time to refine the balance between the show’s action sequences and its lighter, character-driven moments.
