Lucy Liu will be given her own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Last year, we reported that Lucy Liu will receive a Hollywood Walk Of Fame star at some point in 2019. It has now been reported by Toronto Sun that Liu will receive the Walk Of Fame’s 2,662nd star on 1 May.

Liu is known for films including Kill Bill, Charlie’s Angels and Kung Fu Panda as well as TV series such as Elementary, Difficult People and most recently Why Women Kill.

The Chinese American actress will be inducted into the Walk Of Fame’s list of actors by Demi Moore and Rhea Perlman.

Her star will be placed beside Anna May Wong’s – the first Chinese American actress to appear in Hollywood.

The unveiling ceremony will take place three weeks before Elementary’s final season premiere.

Liu has been recognised as an important actress for the Asian American acting community.

Crazy Rich Asians star Awkwafina thanked the 50-year-old actress in her opening monologue for SNL. Liu responded by calling Awkwafina a “fellow warrior”.
