Introducing Liu Wen, Sui He, Xin Xie, Estelle Chen, Ming Xi, Xiao Wen Ju and Shu Pei
Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2017 in Shanghai promises to be a star-studded night with some of the top models from Asia.
Taking place on 29 November, the annual Victoria’s Secrets Fashion Show will feature twice the number of Asian faces on the runway than last year.
This year, VS Asian regulars including Liu Wen and Sui He will make reappearances with new additions such as Estelle Chen joining the roster. The full line up is: Liu Wen, Sui He, Xin Xie, Estelle Chen, Ming Xi, Xiao Wen Ju and Shu Pei.
The 29-year-old is China’s first supermodel and was the first Asian model to appear on the cover of Vogue. Wen has since been featured on 15 international Vogue covers to date. She made her VS debut in 2009 and has walked the VS catwalk in five shows. She also walked a record 74 shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris for the autumn/winter 2009 season.
The Wenzhou-born model was the second Asian model to appear in the VS show back in 2011 and has walked every show since. She regularly walks for Ralph Lauren, Anna Sui, Diane von Furstenberg and Chanel. He was also the first Chinese model to represent Japanese cosmetics giant Shisheido.
Set to make her VS debut this year, the Guangdong Province model has previously walked the Miu Miu Resort 2016 show. She also appeared on the cover of T Magazine China, an in editorials for Vogue China and Vogue Me.
Chen was born in China and raised in France. Despite her young age, she has already walked for Dior, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Kenzo, Miu Miu and Loewe. Vera Wang also featured the model as the star for their Spring 2019 campaign.
2017 will mark the model’s VS debut.
Shanghai-born Xi was discovered at a 2009 TV competition and began an international modelling career in 2010 after walking for Givenchy couture. she regularly walks for Chanel and featured in a recent L’Oreal x Balmain collaboration campaign.
Xiao Wen Ju
Last year marked Ju’s VS debut but the Chinese model had previously walked for 3.1 Phillip Lim, DKNY, Emanuel Ungaro, Hermès, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Rochas and Thierry Mugler. In 2012, Ju became the first model of Chinese descent to become the face of Marc Jacobs. She also regularly features on the cover of Vogue China. She was the face of L’Oreal in 2016.
The Kaifeng-born model and signed to Next Management back in 2007 and walked for Christian Dior, Hussein Chalayan, John Galliano and Vivienne Westwood in 2008. In September of that year, she appeared alongiside Karlie Kloss and Hanne Gaby Odiele in Vogue China and has since appeared on the cover three times. She was also the face of Vera Wang in 2011.
Her first VS appearance was in 2012.
In January 2017, she gave birth to a baby girl with her partner Edison Chen.
