Jimmy O. Yang has just dropped the trailer for his third comedy special, Finally Home, taped during his sold-out five-show run at Hong Kong Coliseum in June 2025. Launching in theaters this month, the film premieres exclusively at Emperor Cinemas in Hong Kong on March 20, expanding to U.S. and Canada theaters on March 27 via Variance Films, marking him as the first Chinese-American comedian with a stand-up special debuting in theaters across America and Hong Kong.

Self-proclaimed the “Taylor Swift of Hong Kong,” Yang delivers an epic homecoming with pyrotechnics, musical moments, surprise cameos, and over 35,000 fans across the expanded run—originally two nights but doubled due to demand. The hour-long set mixes English with subtitled Cantonese, touching on family antics, immigrant life, returning after 25 years, and fighting for the bill.

“What’s up? You know why Asian people love gambling? It’s our only extreme sport,” Yang is heard saying in the trailer. “I’M ACTUALLY BIG AND TALL IN HONG KONG. LET’S GO,” capturing the crowd’s energy in 4K cinema format.

Known for breakout roles in HBO’s Silicon Valley, Crazy Rich Asians, Hulu’s Interior Chinatown (directed by Taika Waititi), Netflix’s Love Hard, and Space Force (where he wrote too), Yang’s prior specials Good Deal and Guess How Much? topped Prime Video charts.

Tickets for Hong Kong screenings (March 20-29 at Causeway Bay Times Square and Tsim Sha Tsui iSquare) are on sale now at $120, with VIP discounts at $108; North American sales start March 17.
