Rumors are swirling that Dilraba Dilmurat, the renowned Uyghur actress, has been cast in Stephen Chow’s upcoming film, Shaolin Women’s Soccer. Sources indicate that Dilmurat has traveled to Shenzhen for filming, fueling speculation about her involvement in the project.

Chow, the acclaimed Hong Kong filmmaker behind iconic comedies like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle, first announced the all-female spin-off in 2023. The project generated significant buzz, with a massive casting call attracting over 30,000 hopefuls.

While neither Chow nor Dilmurat has confirmed her participation, the prospect of the actress leading the film has sparked excitement among fans. Dilmurat, known for her roles in popular Chinese dramas and films, would bring considerable star power to the project.
