‘Warrior’ star Andrew Koji to play Henry Golding’s arch-rival in ‘G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes’

Deadline reports that Warrior star Andrew Koji is set to play Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes.

Earlier this month Crazy Rich Asians star Henry Golding was announced to take on the titular character, replacing Ray Park who played Snake Eyes in 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and 2013’s G.I Joe: Retaliation.

Koji will play Storm Shadow – arch-rival and brother of Snake Eyes who works for G.I. Joe’s enemy Cobra.

Snake Eyes is a ninja commando who one of the most popular characters of the original G.I. Joe team. He also had solo missions with hist pet wolf Timber against his nemesis Storm Shadow.

The spinoff will focus on Snake Eyes seeking revenge for his father’s death by joining a ninja clan.

Evan Spiliotopoulos wrote the script for the film whilst Robert Schwentke will direct and Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner will produce.

In related news, the trailer for Golding’s upcoming rom com Last Christmas was recently released.
