The ongoing expansion of Blackpink‘s independent solo projects has reached a stylish turning point. Jisoo has officially released her new single, “Click”, setting off the next stage of her solo recording career ahead of a debut full-length studio album.
The track arrives alongside a high-concept music video directed by Joseph Kahn, known for his cinematic visuals for Taylor Swift and Britney Spears. Set in a decaying, overgrown amusement park, the video portrays Jisoo as a solitary cyborg wandering among obsolete rides, mechanical mannequins, and a robotic teddy bear companion.
Styled in corseted ballet wear and structured black lace gowns, she brings the dormant park to life, waltzing in an illuminated gazebo with a dapper automaton before riding a rusted roller coaster across a twilight skyline.
Navigating Magnetic Attraction
Musically, “Click” rests on a bright synth-pop foundation driven by crisp percussion and a rhythmic vocal bounce. The lyrics chart the hesitation that comes with unexpected intimacy, exploring the boundary between easy platonic company and mutual romantic desire.
The central chorus anchors that tension directly into the song’s earworm hook: “Your lips, my lips, click / We were made to fit.”

Jisoo addresses the dilemma of falling for someone known to flirt with everyone, balancing natural suspicion against physical attraction. The release reflects the singer’s ambition to broaden her musical palette as she prepares her upcoming solo LP.
“I made the effort to show a variety of charms,” Jisoo explained when discussing her studio approach. “Whether it’s musical styles that I really liked or putting in different styles I liked listening to, it was to add a bit of colour to the album.”
A Busy Year of Chart Landmarks
The release continues an exceptionally active run for the singer. Last year, Jisoo partnered with former One Direction member Zayn on the duet “Eyes Closed”, which peaked at number seventy-two on the Billboard Hot 100. That achievement completed a historic milestone for Blackpink, establishing them as the first girl group to have every individual member chart as a solo act on the Hot 100.
Her individual discography has delivered reliable commercial numbers since she launched her solo career in 2023 with the EP Me. That release became the first album by a female solo artist in South Korea to exceed one million sales, propelled by the international chart success of its lead single, “Flower”. She followed that record in 2025 with the mini-album Amortage, featuring “Earthquake” and “Your Love”.
