The trailer for Last Christmas starring Game Of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and Crazy Rich Asians actors Henry Golding and Michelle Yeoh has been released.

Clarke stars as Kate, a depressed young girl suffering from a life-threatening illness. Kate who works as an ‘elf’ a Christmas supplies store run by Yeoh’s character. She eventually meets Tom (Golding) who encourages her to find her Christmas spirit.

In the trailer we see Yeoh telling Asian customers that she has nicknamed Kate “Lazy the Elf, because she appears never to work.”

We then see Kate meeting Tom as a bird poops in her eye. “It’s good luck you know,” Tom says, “getting pooed on by a bird.” An unamused Kate responds, “I’m busy, you’re weird, goodbye.”

When the pair meet again, Kate suspects Tom followed her. “Are elves always so cynical?” Tom asks. “These are dark times,” Kate replies before they formally introduce themselves to each other.

The trailer takes a darker turn as Kate reveals to Tom how she almost died because of her illness and how she’s “scared all the time”. Tom comfortingly replies, “there’s no such thing as normal — just being a human being is hard.”

Last Christmas will be released on 8 November 2019.

In related news, Golding was recently announced to star in G.I. Joe spinoff Snake Eyes.
