Jackie Chan is the world’s fifth highest paid actor of 2019

CEO World reports that Jackie Chan is the fifth highest paid actor in the world in 2019.

Chan, 65, earned a whopping $58 million between 1 June 2018, and 1 June 2019, before fees and taxes.

The Hong Kong martial arts legend’s filmography in 2019 included Journey to China: The Mystery of Iron Mask Master and The Knight of Shadows: Between Yin and Yang. 

Upcoming film The Climbers starring Chan will also be released this year on 4 October.

Only four actors earned more than Chan did over the year. Hobbs & Shaw hero Dwayne Johnson is the highest paid actor of the year raking in $89.4 million.

Avengers stars Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr came in second and third, earning $76.4 million and $66 million respectively. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar came in fourth drawing in $65 million.

Ghost In The Shell star Scarlett Johnson is the highest paid actress in the world, earning $56 million.

In related news, a new Guns N’ Roses song titled ‘Jackie Chan’ was leaked on adult websites. Meanwhile, two Manchester City radio presenters were recently sacked for making “racist” Jackie Chan jokes with Chinese accents.
