Marvel’s Korean American heroine Silk from Spider-Man is getting her own film.

According to Deadline, Marvel’s Korean American character from Spider-Man will be getting her own film.

Sony is working with producer Amy Pascal to develop a movie adaptation of the Marvel comic Silk – a Korean American heroine named Cindy Moon.

Originally created by Dan Slott and Humberto Ramos, Moon is Peter Parker’s classmate who is also bitten by a radioactive spider at the same time as Parker. Moon gains similar abilities to Parker and is able to shoot webs from her fingertips. She also possess an eidetic memory and has Silk Sense – an advanced Spider-Sense.

Last year, comic book writer Greg Pak created an all-Asian Marvel superhero alliance including Silk, Amadeus Cho and Ms Marvel for the comic Totally Awesome Hulk #15.

Moon was also briefly seen on screen played by Tiffany Espense in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War.
