Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang has denied sexual assault allegations and has said he is taking legal action.

It was revealed last week that TVB actress Yammie Lam had accused Eric Tsang of raping her in Singapore in 2013. Former head of the Ford Modelling agency in Asia Grace Han also alleged that Tsang had made other unwanted sexual advances to women in showbiz.

On Wednesday, Tsang spoke about the allegations at a news conference according to Reuters.

“Recently, there are some untrue reports on the Internet about myself. Those reports carry very serious accusations towards me,” said Tsang.

“They have affected my reputation, and sadly, they have hurt my supporting friends, my beloved family, my children … I feel that there is a need for me to now step up and to make a public response.”

“I am willing to cooperate with any investigation,” he said.

Tsang added that the allegations were “totally made-up” and that he is taking legal action against Han.

“Regarding Madam Han’s untrue accusations on Sina Weibo, I have already undertaken legal action to sue her. Currently, legal proceedings are under way,” said Tsang.

Han has yet to give a response.
