Gotham’s Jamie Chung to star as Blink in Fox’s new Marvel X-Men TV show

Gotham’s Jamie Chung will is set to star as Blink in Fox’s new Marvel X-men TV show.

According to IGN, Chung will play mutant Blink, who has the power of teleportation in the comics. In the untitled project, the mutant’s real name is Clarice Fong. In the comics Blink’s real name is Clarice Ferguson. The character is described as a lively and sarcastic tomboy. Blink is forced to adjust to her new surroundings following a traumatic event.

Blink was previously played by Fan Bingbing in X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Chung is the second actor to be announced, the first being Blair Redford who will play a mutant called Sam.  The character is described as “the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network.”

Bryan Singer will direct the pilot of the show and Matt Nix will write the script. Nix had previously said that the new series will connect to the X-Men films.

The plot revolves around two parents who join an underground mutant network after discovering their children have powers.

A release date for the show has not been announced yet.
