29 January 2017: London Chinatown holds its annual Chinese New Year celebrations.

Claiming to be the biggest Chinese New Year celebrations outside of Europe, London’s celebrations drew in crowds from all over the world.

Welcoming in the year of the Rooster, celebrations spread across Chinatown to Trafalgar Square, with thousands of people soaking up the CNY spirit.

To embrace the diversity of London’s crowd, we asked people to say “happy Chinese New Year” in their own language.

People from America, Iceland, Germany, France, Cuba, Spain, China and of course the UK were proud to represent their country in sharing their Chinese New Year wishes.
