Alice's curiosity of East Asian culture was fed by her History Degree at Kings College London, where she made modern Chinese History one of her specialisms. Inspired she bought a plane ticket to China to see for herself. Her backpacking trip took her through China, Hong Kong, Singapore, India, Indochina, Indonesia, Australia and North America. Now writing for Resonate she hopes to cut through stereotypes and use her personal experiences and historical expertise to give a more authentic voice to East Asian issues and culture.
