Hudson Williams and François Arnaud, the leading men of the hit series Heated Rivalry, have issued a joint ultimatum to people posting bigoted and hateful comments online. In a series of coordinated statements shared on Instagram, the pair made it clear that they have no room for followers who target their colleagues.

The actors posted identical messages on Monday afternoon, addressing a recent surge in social media vitriol that has frequently attempted to pit cast members against each other. “Don’t call yourself a fan if you share racist/homophobic/biphobic/misogynist/ageist/ableist/parasocial/bigoted comments of any kind,” the statement read. “None of us need your hateful ‘love.’”

The drama follows the secret romance between Shane Hollander, played by Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie. While the show focuses on professional competition and personal affection, the online environment has become increasingly hostile, with some viewers creating fictional conflicts between the actors themselves.

Addressing the toxicity directly, the stars wrote: “We all respect and support and love each other and are on the same side. If you can’t accept that gtfoh.”

Hudson Williams later clarified his involvement on the social media platform Threads, noting that the message was a collaborative effort. “It was Francois’ idea and I helped write it! I don’t scroll comments so I did not see the hate. I was vibing watching figure skating highlights,” he told followers.

Cast members speak out on Women’s Day

The statement from the lead actors follows similar comments from co-star Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova. Over the weekend, she used the occasion of International Women’s Day to challenge the idea that female actors only attend high-profile events as “guests” of their male counterparts.

“The women you see at industry events are there bcuz they are just as deserving of being in those rooms,” she posted on X. “The assumption that we are there because our male costars invited us takes away the work we also put in.”

Kharlamova also supported the joint statement from Williams and Arnaud, urging viewers to remember that they are real people rather than the characters they portray on screen. She noted that inventing “false stories” about the actors’ personal lives is not a form of support.

François Arnaud has been seen actively moderating his own social media pages, responding directly to comments with the message: “racists and haters of all kinds gtfoh.”

The Heated Rivalry production team has backed the actors, with several members of the creative staff reposting the warnings. The consensus among the crew is clear: while the show celebrates complex relationships, the actors expect a standard of basic decency from their audience.
