Netflix has officially announced that the second season of Beef will premiere on April 16, 2026. This news comes as part of a massive slate reveal from the streaming giant, ending a three-year wait for the follow-up to the 2023 breakout hit.

While the first season focused on a road rage incident between Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, Season 2 moves into anthology territory with a fresh story and a star-studded lineup.

A Country Club Conflict

The new season trades the streets of Los Angeles for the elitist world of a private country club. The story kicks off when a young couple, played by Charles Melton (May December) and Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), witness a disturbing fight between their boss and his wife.

This encounter sparks a high-stakes game of coercion and favors involving the club’s billionaire owner. Playing the warring couple at the center of the drama are Oscar Isaac (Moon Knight) and Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman).

An International All-Star Cast

Showrunner Lee Sung Jin has assembled a powerhouse supporting cast that bridges Hollywood and South Korean cinema. The lineup includes:

  • Song Kang-ho: The legendary lead from the Oscar-winning Parasite.
  • Yuh-Jung Youn: The Oscar winner from Minari.
  • William Fichtner: Best known for The Dark Knight and Prison Break.
  • BM: The K-pop musician from KARD making his official acting debut.

The season will consist of eight 30-minute episodes.

Fans of the original duo will be happy to know that Steven Yeun and Ali Wong are staying on as executive producers. A24 continues to produce the series.

The first season was a critical juggernaut, holding a 98% on Rotten Tomatoes and cleaning up at the Emmys. Though it was originally a limited series, Lee Sung Jin previously mentioned his plan to turn Beef into an anthology if given the chance.
