Ke Huy Quan, the Academy Award-winning actor who made a triumphant return to Hollywood in Everything Everywhere All at Once, is set to star in the action thriller Fairytale in New York.  This festive film, directed by Jalmari Helander (Sisu), will see Quan trade in his multiverse-hopping adventures for a Christmas Eve cab ride gone wrong.

The story follows Quan as an unassuming New York City cab driver who picks up one last fare before heading home to celebrate Christmas with his estranged son. However, a run-in with a gang of criminals leaves him in hot pursuit to recover his son’s stolen Christmas gift.

Lionsgate Motion Picture Group chair Adam Fogelson expressed his excitement for the project, stating, “As soon as we watched ‘Sisu,’ we knew Jalmari was a filmmaker we wanted to be in business with again. Fairytale in New York is a wildly entertaining, thrill ride of an action film and an emotionally resonant story about family.”

So, buckle up for a wild ride as Ke Huy Quan delivers another unforgettable performance, proving that Christmas miracles can come with a side of adrenaline.
