Emmy and Golden Globe nominees Greta Lee (Past Lives) and Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers) are set to lead the upcoming sci-fi romance film “My Notes on Mars,” marking the English-language debut of acclaimed Hungarian filmmaker Lili Horvát (Preparations to Be Together for an Unknown Period of Time).

The film, written and directed by Horvát, tells the story of Margot (Lee), a brilliant young scientist whose troubled marriage takes an unexpected turn when she mysteriously disappears during a hiking trip with her husband Sam (Scott) and their friends. Weeks later, she miraculously resurfaces on the day of her own memorial service, forever altered by her experience. Despite the changes, Sam sees her return as a chance to rebuild their relationship.

Horvát described the film as “a story about the labyrinthine human psyche, about the ever-changing faces of love. To start over a marriage, to rediscover the other, to fall in love again — our story is about the grueling realization of this impossible desire.”

She also expressed her admiration for the lead actors, stating, “I feel that this is true for Greta and Andrew as well. It is an incredible honor for me that I can accompany them on the journey of creating Margot and Sam Fogel.”
