Eddie Huang has released a trailer for his first full-length feature film Boogie.

The lawyer turned chef and entrepreneur is known for opening Chinese bun restaurant Baohaus in New York City. His memoirs Fresh Off The Boat also inspired the six-season sitcom of the same name.

Now, Huang has tried his hand at directing. Boogie tells the tale of an up-and-coming Asian American basketball star from Queens. Taylor Takahsashi stars as Alfred ‘Boogie’ Chin and Taylour Paige plays Chin’s love interest.

“I’ve been very careful with everyone to not present it as an Asian American film,” he told Entertainment Weekly about Boogie.

“I am Asian American, that is what I represent. That’s what I come from. But I’m very much into the intersection of all our experiences. And to me, this is an intersectional immigrant story. This is for all immigrants in America.”

Last year,  Huang permanently closed his Baohaus restaurant in New York amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
