Malaysian comedian Nigel Ng AKA ‘Uncle Roger’ was punched in the face in London.

Recalling the incident on his Instagram story on 30 October, Ng said the incident occurred when he was walking back to his home in the UK capital.

“This random guy just came up and punched me in my face,” Ng said. In the clip, Ng’s bleeding lips and bruised chin are seen.

“I’m guessing its probably Covid-racism related, which is really really sh*tty. Good thing he wasn’t a great fighter.”

Ng asked the attacker why he punched him but the man replied, “you know what you did.”

However, the Malaysian comedian told his viewers that the attack must have just been out of pure racism.

“I don’t think he knew who I was either,” Ng said.

“I think he was just trying to punch an Asian face. It just really sucks that it happened because now I don’t know if I can feel safe walking back to my own place now,” added Ng who has been based in London since 2015.”

Nonetheless, Ng found the positive side of the incident after the police office recognised him from his videos.

“On the plus side, the police officer knew who Uncle Roger was,” he said.

Ng expressed some frustration that the officer did not take off their shoes. “I was like: ‘Come on, I’m already a victim, please. I got punched in the face. I don’t want to have to vacuum after you leave.'”

In August, Ng slammed British chef Jamie Oliver’s method for making egg fried rice.

In other news, the British government has been ridiculed after claiming that a UK-Japan trade deal will make soy sauce cheaper.
