Playbill reports that the cast of Dr Ken reunited for an online streaming event.

Ken Jeong, Suzy Nakamura, Dave Foley, Jonathan Slavin, Tisha Campbell, Krista Marie Yu, Dana Lee, and Albert Tsai all appeared in the chatroom on 28 May.

Presented by Playbill’s Stars In The House series, the reunion promoted support for The Actors Fund and its services post-Coronavirus pandemic.

The Actors Fund provides services including Artists Health Insurance Resource Center, The Career Center, Housing Resources, Addiction & Recovery, HIV/AIDS and Senior Services, Counseling and Emergency Financial Assistance, as well as The Friedman Health Center for the Performing Arts in New York City.

SiriusXM Broadway host Seth Rudetsky and producer James Wesley hosted the event.

Stars In The House, which airs daily at 2 PM and 8 PM ET, has raised $300,000 to benefit The Actors Fund since its launch.

Dr Ken centred on Jeong as the lead titular character who balances his profession as a doctor with his Asian American family at home. After two seasons, Dr Ken was cancelled by ABC in 2017.

In related news, the casts of Kim’s Convenience and Fresh Off The Boat are uniting to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
