Coyote Ugly actress Piper Perabo is campaigning for New Jersey candidate Andy Kim.

According to NJ.com, Piper Perabo is campaigning for New Jersey’s Korean American candidate Andy Kim.

Kim was recently the target of a racist mailer, which sported the slogan, “there’s something real fishy about Andy Kim” in a Chinese takeaway font.

Perabo, who is also known for playing Annie Walker in the spy drama series Covert Affairs, is now campaigning for the local politician. The 41-year-old actress was seen door-to-door canvasing in the New Jersey district where she grew up.

In a tweet, Perabo wrote, “Thanks Sharron for leading the canvas today in #NJ03 for @AndyKimNJ Thank you @MoveOn + @swingleft + all the cool people from #NewJersey who came out + got involved. I’m proud to be from #NJ its full of smart hard working people who deserve representation that cares about them.

“This is the congressional district I grew up in,” Perabo said in a Twitter video. “I’m supporting Andy Kim and trying to flip the House.”

In response, Kim said, “it was great to have Piper Perabo come back to her childhood home and help us get people energized in Toms River.”

Kim is running against Republican two-term incumbent Tom MacArthur.
