Yoko Ono is releasing a new album titled Warzone that will feature a cover of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.

As reported by The Straits Times, Yoko Ono is releasing a new album later this year that includes a cover of her late husband John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’.

Warzone is set for release on 19 October 2018 and features songs written by Ono since 1970. “The world is so messed up. Things are very difficult for everybody,” she said in a statement.

“It is not too late to change the world. We need Yoko now more than ever,” her representatives added.

Ono and Lennon’s son, Sean Lennon, will produce the album’s 13 tracks. According to The Straits Times, Lennon has stripped back the music, “bringing to the forefront her voice in the vein of spoken word.”

The 85-year-old Japan-born New Yorker added that she is also working on another album.

Title song ‘Warzone’ was released through streaming music services.
