A teaser trailer for Crazy Rich Asians has just been released.

The highly anticipated all-Asian cast film Crazy Rich Asians is just months away from release and we are finally able to get a sneak peak of the film.

On the Crazy Rich Asians official Facebook page, a teaser trailer was released.  “It’s been a CRAaazy long wait, but it’s almost here!” reads the caption, “Warner Bros. Pictures and Jon M. Chu are proud to present the official trailer for #CrazyRichAsians, dropping on MONDAY!”

In the short trailer, Constance Wu is heard saying “You really should have told me you’re like the Prince William of Asia,” whilst Henry Golding responds, “That’s ridiculous, I’m much more of a Harry.”

We’ll have to wait until 23 April for the full trailer, but we’re very excited nonetheless.

Based on Kevin Kwan’s New York Times best-selling novel of the same name and will feature an all-Asian cast. Directed by Jon M Chu, the film centres on the lives of wealthy Chinese families living in Singapore.

The story follows Rachel Chu (Wu), an American-born Chinese economics professor who travels to Singapore for her boyfriend’s best friend’s wedding. It quickly becomes apparent that her boyfriend Nick and his family are incredibly wealthy.

Rachel soon realises that Nick may just be the most desirable bachelor in Asia and that every other single woman in his social class is jealous of her and wants to bring her down.

Crazy Rich Asians also stars Ken Jeong, Jimmy O Yang, Gemma Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Constance Wu, Sonoya Mizuno, Chris Pang and Awkwafina.

In related news, Awkwafina recently said that the film will “set some sort of precedent”.

Crazy Rich Asians will be released on 17 August 2018.
