A Thai masseur has been arrested for allegedly raping a Taiwanese tourist.

According to The Nation, a Thai masseur was arrested on Sunday for allegedly raping a Taiwanese tourist on 12 April in Bangkok.

The unnamed victim accused the masseur of molesting and raping her. However, the 27-year-old masseur said the sex was consensual and claims the customer even tipped him Bt100.

Thong Lor police superintendent Pol Colonel Khajornpong Jitpakphum said the suspect has been brought in for questioning.

The victim had visited the masseur’s shop with a friend. Both had a foot massage before going into separate rooms for a full body massage, according to the police.

After the massage, the accused returned downstairs to continue his work, where the victim allegedly paid the Bt200 fee before tipping him. She filed a police complaint the following day.
