Singapore Grand Prix race organisers are investigating after a couple entered the F1 track illegally.

Yahoo reports that the race organisers are investigating the alleged breach that resulted from a couple bribing a security guard to access the track.

In a Facebook post, a man and woman are seen posing inside the Marina Bay Street Circuit with the caption, “3am in the morning. Bribed the security guard to let us onto the track. He not only agreed, he took the photo. Non F1 fans won’t understand this, but most of us will.”

A Singapore Grand Prix spokesperson said in a statement, “the safety of our patrons is of utmost priority and we view the allegation of bribery seriously.”

“We are working with SRS, the appointed security agency assigned to the reported area, to investigate the claim.”

This year marked the 10th anniversary of the iconic F1 night race in Singapore. Lewis Hamilton took first place after Sebastian Vettel crashed just after the race commenced.
