Bikini Airline Vietjet flight attendants will be told to dress fully when working onboard the airline’s new flight route to Indonesia.

The Jakarta Post reports that VietJet Air will not be offering their unique service of bikini flight attendants on their new route to Indonesia.

Expected to start in December, Vietjet Air will be operating from Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh.

In a press conference, the budget airline’s deputy director for commercial affairs, Jay L Lingeswara said the bikini-clad flight attendants will only feature on specific occasions.

“We strongly believe and are committed to offering the best and suitable services to the Indonesian market,” he said.

Lingeswara added that the airline had learned from its experience with their route to Malaysia. He also stated that the company recognises Indonesia as a potential market due to it having the largest population in Southeast Asia.

Vice president for business development of the airline, Dinh Viet Phoung, said halal food will also be provided for Muslim passengers.

Vietjet Air was previously fined 20m dong for its first flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang where a Hawaiian-themed dance was performed.
