Jackie Chan has compared his team’s LMP2 win at the Le Mans 24 Hours to his Oscar win last year.

The #38 Jackie Chan DC Racing Oreca led the entire race but was overtaken with just 70 minutes to go by a Porsche 919 Hybrid.

Nonetheless, Chan’s car claimed class honours and runners up, whilst the team’s sister car finish fourth overall.

Chan, who co-owns the team crewed by Ho-Pin Tung, Oliver Jarvis and Thomas Laurent, received an honorary Oscar last year at the Governors Awards.

Although Chan wasn’t present at this years Le Mans race, Chan sent a live message to the celebrations after the event.

“How exciting!” said Chan. “It’s exactly like when I got an Oscar. Really, watching it on video, I’m just sorry I could not be there.”

“But, anyway, no matter where you are, we win! We have to continue now, work hard for next year, and coming years and years.”

Last month, it was announced that Jackie Chan and Sylvester Stallone will be teaming up to star in Ex-Baghdad –one of the biggest budget movies to come out of China with a budget of $80 million.
