The New York Post is being slammed after releasing a video showing a Singaporean baby but writing in its description that the baby was from China.

The video, which has now been taken down, was captioned ‘This 21-month-old from China has some serious flow’ by the New York Post.

However, in the video, the caption reads “this is actually the real hair of 21-month-old Heather from Singapore”.

The video had already become viral due to the baby’s cute wavy hair but has since drawn even more attention after Singaporean netizens slammed the American publication for its blunder.

“Singapore is not in China. Not sure if that is racism or do you genuinely not care?” commented one Facebook user.

The New York Post is yet to respond.
