Deadline reports that Pitch Perfect star Rebel Wilson has written a Kpop comedy film.

Titled Seoul Girls, the film is centred on a Korean American high school girl who enters an international talent competition with her friends.

The prize of the competition is to be the opening act for the world’s biggest Kpop boy band.

An ex British girl group member and a former Kpop trainee will help the girls along their road to success.

The Australian actress will also play a role in the film as well as serving as producer with Alison Owen and Debra Hayward of Monumental Pictures.

Monumental Pictures is behind the upcoming Cats film adaptation, which Wilson stars in.

Billions writer Young Il Kim has recently been involved in a script revision for Seoul Girls.

In other Kpop news, Jay Park recently announced that he is starting his own soju company.
