Paramount and Sega will be changing the design of Sonic The Hedgehog following backlash from the internet

The Verge reports that Sonic The Hedgehog‘s live-action design will be changed following backlash from the internet.

Two days ago, the first trailer for the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog live-action film was released.

However, many criticised the CGI of the live-action version of video game icon, which some described as disturbing.

Fans even took it upon themselves to recreate the Sega hedgehog to be more appealing.

In response, director Jeff Fowler revealed that Paramount and Sega will be recreating the character ahead of the film’s relaese.

“You aren’t happy with the design & you want changes,” Fowler tweeted. “It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be.”

Sonic the Hedgehog will be released on 8 November.
