The live-action trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog has just been released

Polygon reports that Sega hero Sonic the Hedgehog is getting the live-action movie trailer.

Voiced by Parks and Recreation actor Ben Schwartz, Sonic is seen in the trailer as a CGI’d hairy blue hedgehog.

“Basically, it looks like I’m going to have to save your planet,” Sonic says to Westworld actor James Marsden’s Tom Wachowski sheriff character.

Jim Carrey is seen as archenemies Dr. Robotnik, who is hired as an independent contractor to the US military to take down Sonic.

Adam Pally plays Wachowski’s fellow cop. Both cops journey to San Francisco with Sonic to defeat Dr. Robotnik.

Directed by Blur Studio veteran Jeff Fowler, Sonic the Hedgehog will be released on 8 November.
