Amazon MGM Studios has secured a major addition to its flagship sci-fi series. Manny Jacinto, who recently drew significant acclaim for his performance in the Star Wars spin-off The Acolyte, has officially joined the cast of Fallout for its upcoming third season.
The casting news arrives as the high-budget adaptation prepares to return to Los Angeles later this month to begin principal photography on the third instalment. Jacinto will feature in a recurring role, boarding the show alongside fellow new additions Emily Mortimer and Thomasin McKenzie, as well as the previously announced Aaron Paul.
Navigating the Wasteland
Based on the celebrated Bethesda video game franchise, Fallout explores the stark class divides of a post-apocalyptic society where surface resources have completely vanished. Two centuries after a global nuclear catastrophe, inhabitants of ultra-luxury subterranean bunkers find themselves forced to emerge into the irradiated ruins of California. Upon their return, they discover a highly chaotic, bizarre, and exceptionally violent ecosystem managed by factions of surface survivors.
Jacinto’s addition to the ensemble follows a massive surge in international viewership for the franchise. According to data provided by Amazon, the global audience for the streaming adaptation has surpassed 100 million viewers. The series is overseen by creators and showrunners Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, alongside executive producers Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for Kilter Films.
A Rapidly Expanding Portfolio
The high-profile television role marks another significant step in Jacinto’s transition into mainstream Hollywood fixtures. Beyond his recent work in the Star Wars universe, the actor wrapped filming on Disney’s highly anticipated comedy sequel Freakier Friday.
His upcoming projects span multiple formats. He will feature in the voice cast for the animated feature Forgotten Island, scheduled for release on 25 September 2026. On the independent film circuit, Jacinto stars opposite Ben Foster in the drama The Stalemate, and joins Chloe Grace Moretz for the romantic comedy Love Language.
While character profiles for Jacinto, Mortimer, and McKenzie remain strictly confidential, the core returning cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins. Music and television analysts suggest that adding established genre actors like Jacinto helps lock in the show’s core demographic while expanding its presence across mainstream digital media.
