Tiffany Young - Pacific Music Group

Tiffany Young, the American-born singer and long-time member of the influential group Girls’ Generation, has returned with her first domestic solo music in ten years. Her new single, “Summer’s Not Over,” was released on various music streaming platforms at 6 p.m. today. The track serves as a preview for an upcoming full-length studio album, marking a decade since she first debuted as a solo artist in South Korea with her 2016 extended play, I Just Wanna Dance.

The release represents several milestones for the performer. It is her first musical output since her marriage to the actor Byun Yo-han in February, and it serves as her introduction under a new agency, Pacific Music Group Korea, where she is signed as their flagship artist.

A Slower Tempo for a New Era

In contrast to the high-energy, choreographic demands of her early group career, “Summer’s Not Over” is a medium-tempo pop song that relies on warm synthesizers and upbeat electronic production. The lyrics frame domestic comfort and companionship as a sanctuary, exploring the idea of time slowing down when spent with loved ones.

Expanding Roles in Theatre and Music

The release of “Summer’s Not Over” kicks off a busy summer schedule for the singer. Alongside her studio work, Young is preparing to return to the stage as an actress. She has secured the lead role of Yumi in the upcoming musical adaptation of Yumi’s Cells, which is scheduled to open on 30 June.

By balancing a major musical release with a lead theatre role, Young is broadening her presence within the South Korean entertainment landscape. Her transition from a teenage pop idol into a mature, multi-faceted performer has been watched closely by industry observers. With her tenth-anniversary project now underway, she appears to be establishing a sustainable path for her post-group career, one that prioritises steady growth over immediate spectacle.
