Laufey is officially having the best year ever. After snagging her second Grammy in February, the Icelandic-Chinese singer just debuted the music video for “Madwoman”—and she brought some very famous friends along for the ride.

If you’ve been following her on social media, you know she’s been manifesting a “Wasian Avengers” assembly for a minute now. Well, it finally happened. The video features a glittering lineup of biracial Asian talent that is basically a Gen Z fever dream.

The cast is a literal who’s who of rising stars. We’re talking about Olympic gold medalistAlysa Liu, The Summer I Turned Pretty star Lola Tung, and Megan Skiendiel from the global girl group Katseye.

And because every iconic video needs a heartthrob, Hudson Williams (the Canadian breakout from Heated Rivalry) plays the leading man who… well, let’s just say he’s not the best boyfriend. Even Chase Sui Wonders and Havana Rose Liu make “cameos” on magazine covers throughout the set.

It’s Giving ‘60s Glamour With A Sinister Twist

Directed by Warren Fu, the aesthetic is total 1960s retro-chic. Think Mad Men meets Don’t Worry Darling. There’s a pool, there are incredible sunglasses, and there’s a whole lot of drama.

The plot follows Laufey as she discovers Hudson is being unfaithful. While her girl squad (Lola, Megan, and Alysa) tries to support her, there’s a lurking feeling of betrayal. It all ends with a giant sinkhole and Laufey realizing she might be trapped in this “perfect” life.

We Love The Subtle Heritage Nods

Beyond the star power, the video is a beautiful celebration of Asian identity. Laufey looks stunning in a traditional cheongsam during a date scene, and fans were quick to spot Megan wearing a rounded jade bangle—a piece of jewelry that is basically a staple for every Asian auntie and mom out there. It’s those small details that make the video feel so real and personal.
