The countdown is on. Netflix has dropped a new trailer for Squid Game Season 3, setting the stage for the explosive final chapter of the global phenomenon. The high-stakes survival series comes to a dramatic close on June 27.

Picking up right where Season 2 left off, the story follows Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) as he faces the aftermath of his failed rebellion against the puppet masters of the deadly game. His attempt to break the system may have crumbled—leaving many of his allies dead—but the war is far from over.

Unveiled at Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event, the trailer hints at a darker, more determined Gi-hun. He’s lost people. He’s lost hope. But the fire inside him still burns. A storm of regret, guilt, and a hunger for revenge is brewing—and the final season looks set to push Gi-hun to his limits.

“The new season will focus on what Gi-hun can and will do after all his efforts fail,” series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk tells Tudum.

The Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) looms larger than ever, but this time, Gi-hun may be closer than ever to uncovering the truth. In a chilling moment, the trailer shows the Front Man removing his mask, asking, “Player 456, do you still have faith in people?” A confrontation feels inevitable.

The games themselves promise to be more terrifying than ever. Fan-favourite nightmare fuel Young-hee, the doll behind ‘Red Light, Green Light’, returns to the arena, while the trailer hints at new, even deadlier challenges ahead. The pink-suited guards are back in full force, and the players are in for a fight they may not be able to win.
