Olivia Rodrigo, the 22-year-old pop sensation, is set to make history as one of the youngest solo headliners at Glastonbury Festival 2025.  The announcement has sent waves of excitement through the music world, with fans eagerly anticipating her performance on the iconic Pyramid Stage.

Rodrigo, who rose to fame with her chart-topping hits “Drivers License” and “Good 4 U”, joins a diverse line-up that includes British band The 1975 and rock legend Neil Young. This marks a significant milestone in Rodrigo’s career, solidifying her status as a major force in pop music.

“Headlining Glastonbury has been one of my biggest dreams for so long,” Rodrigo shared on Instagram. “Truly can’t believe this! So grateful and sooo excited. Hope to see you there.”

While Rodrigo’s headlining slot has been met with widespread enthusiasm, it has also sparked debate among some long-time festival goers who question whether she has “earned her stripes” for such a prestigious position. However, Rodrigo’s impressive achievements, including three Grammy wins and Billboard’s Woman of the Year award, speak for themselves.

Her debut album, Sour, broke records, becoming the longest-running debut album of the century to chart in the top 10 of the Billboard 200.  She also made history as the youngest-ever artist to debut three songs at number one on Billboard’s Hot 100.
