Olivia Rodrigo, the 21-year-old pop sensation, is not only captivating audiences worldwide with her music but also making a significant impact on global women’s health and rights. The ‘Vampire’ singer has announced a generous donation of over $2 million from her Guts World Tour proceeds to 10 charities worldwide, each championing girls’ education, reproductive rights, and the prevention of gender-based violence.

Rodrigo’s tour, which kicked off in February, has taken her across the globe, including a special stop in the Philippines, where she has deep family ties. While there, she partnered with Jhpiego, one of the 10 beneficiary organizations, to donate all net ticket sales from her concert to healthcare efforts for Filipino women and girls.

“This is such a special milestone for me to not only be visiting the Philippines for the first time but performing here for my fans,” Rodrigo said after the Philippine Arena show. “I’m so proud of my Filipino heritage, so being able to bring this experience to the Philippines means the world to me.”

The ‘Good 4 U’ singer’s commitment to women’s rights extends beyond her tour. She has been a vocal advocate for reproductive rights, particularly after the overturning of Roe v. Wade. During her Glastonbury Festival performance, she dedicated a cover of Lily Allen’s ‘Fuck You’ to the Supreme Court justices responsible for the decision, expressing her deep concern for the future of women’s rights.
