Shang-Chi star Simu Liu is bringing his charisma to the world of Gremlins. He’ll be voicing Chang, a charming and mysterious bootlegger with deep ties to San Francisco’s Chinatown.

Chang’s past is shrouded in mystery, with a stint in Alcatraz and a family who believes him dead. But fate intervenes, bringing him together with Gizmo, Sam, and Elle. As he navigates the unfamiliar world of America, Chang will be their roguish guide while searching for a way back to his roots.
The second season, premiering on Max on October 3, takes place a year after the events of the first season. It follows Gizmo, Sam, and Elle as they travel from Shanghai to San Francisco, encountering new Mogwai and supernatural creatures on their journey.
John Glover, who played Daniel Clamp in Gremlins 2: The New Batch, will also return for a guest voice role. Executive producers Tze Chun and Brendan Hay hinted at a possible connection to the Clamp family ancestry.
The series boasts an impressive voice cast including Ming-Na Wen, James Hong, BD Wong, Izaac Wang, AJ LoCascio, Gabrielle Nevaeh and George Takei. Additional guest stars include Michael Paul Chan, Ronny Chieng, Keith David, Will Forte, Kelly Hu and Jimmy O. Yang.
Gremlins: The Wild Batch is produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Steven Spielberg, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, and Sam Register serve as executive producers alongside Tze Chun and Brendan Hay.
