Gold House kicks off Asian Pacific American Heritage Month (APAHM) today with the release of its annual A100 List, commemorating the 100 Asian Pacific leaders who have made the most significant impact on American culture and society in the past year.

Special honors have also been bestowed for transformative influence and introduced a new category, New Gold, for emerging Asian Pacific leaders. This selection was made through a voting process involving top Asian Pacific organizations, creative and business leaders, and multicultural allies.

Gold House will recognize these individuals through a sequence of events taking place from May 10 to May 11. These events include the A100 Honoree Welcome on May 10, which is exclusively for past and present A100 honorees, and the Gold Gala on May 11, renowned as the foremost and most widely viewed Asian Pacific celebration in North America.

Asian Pacific-led creativity has continued to set records in entertainment, with achievements such as having the most-watched Netflix show of 2023 (The Night Agent), the most-watched Disney+ film premiere of 2023 (Elemental), and the most-watched FX premiere ever on Hulu (Shōgun).

Individuals like BTS singer Jungkook, the first Asian to win “Male Artist of the Year” at the People’s Choice Awards, and Alan Chikin Chow, the most-watched YouTube Shorts creator of 2023, have also left significant marks. In sports, A100 and New Gold honorees include figures like Shohei Ohtani, and Son Heung-Min, the first Asian player to score 100 Premier League goals.

Additionally, A100 honorees are at the forefront of crucial organizations ensuring that future technologies uphold fundamental rights, including the Human Rights Watch, the National Resources Defense Council, and the White House Correspondents’ Association.

“This year was special: Asian Pacific leaders had a record number of records broken while building a more inclusive tomorrow for all, particularly in new avenues like AI. Gold House is honored to celebrate so many new and established leaders who are committed to both equity and excellence.” said Bing Chen and Jeremy Tran, CEO and COO of Gold House.
