Simu Liu has expressed an interest in singing with Barbie star Ryan Gosling at the Oscars.

Liu is set to host the 2024 People’s Choice Awards on Sunday 18 February.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, Liu expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity, highlighting the unique selection of this year’s honorees.

When asked about the possibility of performing the Barbie song “I’m Just Ken” alongside Ryan Gosling at the Oscars, Liu playfully indicated his willingness to participate. “He’s my boy,” Liu said. “If he wants someone to join him, he knows I’m here, along with Scott [Evans], Ncuti [Gatwa], and Kingsley [Ben-Adir].”

However, he humorously added that he wouldn’t repeat the experience of waxing his legs for the role, calling it “one of the most painful experiences of my life.”

The 2024 People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast simultaneously on NBC, E!, and Peacock on 18 February.
