The man who attacked the mother of Olivia Munn‘s friend has been released without bail.

Maggie Kayla Cheng, a friend of the X-Men actress, posted on Facebook and Instagram about how her mother was senselessly pushed over in Flushing, Queens.

Cheng’s mother was hospitalised and received 10 stitches in her forehead.

Posting on her own Facebook and Instagram, Munn called out to her followers to identify the man.

Munn then thanked the internet for identifying Patrick Mateo, 47, as the attacker.

Mateo was released without bail on Friday at 3am, in less than 24 hours after his arrest.

The attacker remains under supervision and was charged with assault in the third degree, which is a class A misdemeanor.

He is due in court for the charges on 21 April.

In other news, an Asian elementary school teacher has lost part of his finger after he was viciously attacked at a bus stop in California.
