Universal Studios Japan will open its new Super Nintendo World on 4 February 2021.

Official photos from the upcoming theme park were shared via Universal Studios Japan’s Twitter with the confirmation of the date.

Images showed a rollercoaster-style Mario Kart and the entrance to a Bowser’s castle-themed ride.

Initial opening dates were set to coincide with the Tokyo 2020 Olympics but both were postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier this year, a 1-minute clip was shared on Twitter showing some of the attractions in action.

More Super Nintendo Worlds are planned to be opened in Universal Studios Orlando, Hollywood, and Singapore.
