"We don't want you here - you Chinese are greedy, liars, dirty, unhygienic, evil, money laundering criminals!"

A Chinese restaurant in Victoria, Australia has received a racist letter telling the owners to “go back to Wuhan”.

Ashburton based restaurant Ton Lok Chinese Restaurant posted a picture of the letter in a Facebook post.

“Very sad to see that some people think Australia belongs to them,” the restaurant wrote on Facebook. “This is a first and hopefully the last and we hope that there will be no further problems resulting from this…”

The handwritten note told the restaurant to return to Wuhan, where it is widely believed that the Coronavirus started.

“Why don’t you Chinese animal – all of you animal and birds droppings – thats shit – you eat go back to Wuhan China [sic],” the letter states. “You will never be Australian – you are and always will be bloody bird and animal shit eating Chinese.”

“We don’t want you here – you Chinese are greedy, liars, dirty, unhygienic, evil, money laundering criminals!” The letter continues.

“Take your bloody monkey looking children and aged Chinese who are here taking up room that oculd be used for our own people,” the letter urges.

“Your money from criminal gains is how you lot are able to live – rather than the life you had in Wuhan China – which is EVIL to come here and take our jobs, our houses etc.”

The letter then goes on to curse the restaurant and Chinese people.

“Just go back to where you came from – we are fed up of you Chinese. – you lot don’t like to be cursed – well guess what – you Chinese are being, will be cursed – all curses in your religion are on you.”

“Bird and animal shit eating Wuhan Chinese – go back to where you came from!” The letter concludes.

In June it was revealed that Australia has more anti-Asian racism related to the Coronavirus pandemic than America.

Despite the abhorrent abuse, the restaurant stated on Facebook that it will not be deterred by the racist letter and will continue to operate safely.

“This will not phase us and we at Tong Lok Chinese Restaurant will continue to bring good Chinese food to the community…” Ton Lok Chinese Restaurant added. “Dine in will resume on Friday night so please get your  bookings in if you’re coming down.”

In other news, a racist letter was found at a Melbourne store after many businesses including Chinese restaurants were vandalized.

Very sad to see that some people think Australia belongs to them… This is a first and hopefully the last and we hope…
