Birmingham Live reports that a Chinese takeaway was vandalised with “vile” racist graffiti.

Tin Sing takeaway in Dudley was graffitied with “we don’t want you here, fuck off” and “fuck off home China scum”.

The attack comes amid the rise in Coronavirus-related racism towards Asians.

Rep Judy Chu recently revealed there are 100 incidents of targeted racial hate a day towards Asian Americans as a consequence of Coronavirus racism.

Dudley Council swiftly removed the graffiti on Wednesday.

Police are investigating the vandalism as a hate crime and ensured that the takeaway owner will be “appropriately safeguarded”.

Tin Sing takeaway remains closed.
