100-year-old Chinese man is the oldest patient to recover fully from Coronavirus

NY Post reports that a 100-year-old Chinese man is the oldest patient to fully recover from the Coronavirus.

The patient was admitted to Hubei’s Maternity and Child Health Care hospital in Wuhan on 24 February with the virus.

On Saturday, the man was discharged having fully recovered from COVID-19. 80 other patients were also discharged on that day.

He also suffered from underlying health problems including Alzheimer’s disease, hypertension and heart failure.

Antiviral medication, convalescent plasma therapy and traditional Chinese medicine are said to have ailed the man to recovery.

In related news, Disney is postponing the theatrical release of its live-action remake of Mulan due to the virus pandemic.
