Chris Tucker has confirmed Rush Hour 4 is in the works.

Chris Tucker has confirmed he is working with Jackie Chan for Rush Hour 4.

Speaking on Vince Carter and Kent Bazemore’s ‘Winging It’ podcast, Tucker said they are “working on a few things for the script.”

“It’s not in pre-production,” Tucker said. “We’re working on a few things [for] the script. Jackie wants to do it. I want to do it. The studio wants to do it. We’re trying to get it together. It looks like it’s getting together right.”

Chan had previously said reuniting with Tucker on screen was “not about the money”.

“It’s not about the money!” He said. “It’s about being the right time to make it. Otherwise, Rush Hour 4 we’re all old men. I tell Chris Tucker, “Before we get old, please do Rush Hour 4”.’”

Rush Hour was released in 1998 with sequels Rush Hour 2 and Rush Hour 3 released in 2001 and 2007 respectively.

In November 2017, Rush Hour director Brett Ratner was accused of sexual assault by Olivia Munn and five other women. Last year, Warner Bros ended a $450 million deal with Ratner after the sexual misconduct claims.

In other news, Chan recently admitted to having a life of alcohol problems, prostitutes and being a bad father.
