Japanese American director Hiro Murai is making a new film starring Rihanna and Donald Glover.

As reported by Pitchfork, Hiro Murai’s new film, Guava Island, stars Rihanna and Donald Glover.

The Japanese American director is known for his work on Childish Gambino’s (Glover’s stage name) ‘This Is America’ music video.

A trailer for the film was premiered at Childish Gambino’s PHAROS festival in New Zealand this weekend. The official trailer has not yet been publicly released but fan footage has given us a glimpse.

“We live in paradise but none of us actually have the time or the means to live here,” Glover says in the trailer, which bills the movie as a “Childish Gambino Film.”

The plot of the film is har to decipher but Guava Island seems to be set in some sort of paradise island.
