John Cho has revealed what he thinks Harold and Kumar would be up to right now.

In an interview with Entertainment Today, Searching star John Cho revealed what he thought the lead characters of Harold & Kumar would be up to nowadays.

According to Wikipedia, Kumar Patel (Kal Penn) was 22 in 2004’s Harold & Kumar Go To White Castle. Assuming Harold Lee (Cho) was around the same age, the pair would be around 36 this year.

Cho believes both characters would still be continuing their drug-infused antics but would have probably tied the knot.

“Today they’d be married and still doing weed,” Cho said at the premiere for The Oath. “Married with children and stepping out on the patio.”

On a more serious note, Cho also shared his views on the success of Asian American projects such as Crazy Rich Asians and To All The Boys I Loved Before.

“I’m really, really encouraged and I think it’s a beautiful thing,” Cho said. “The thing that I’m most happy about is people expressing themselves online, wherever the activism is taking place and people sort of being heard. Saying this is what we like, this is what we’d like more of.”

However, Cho added that there is still work to be done. “On the other hand, even though there’s more visibility,” he said. “I want more quality roles.”

In other news, Cho recently said the bullying Kelly Marie Tran went through was “tremendously sad”.
