A video of a woman in Portland spewing racist abuse is going viral.

A Facebook video of a Portland woman saying racist comments towards an Asian woman is going viral.

The video, which was shared over 10,000 times in under 24 hours, was uploaded by Selina Cairel on Facebook. It also made its rounds on Twitter, with one tweet being shared over 30,000 times.

In the clip, a woman is seen in the driver’s seat of a white Hyundai.

“Before you say anything, you might want to make sure you’re actual legals,” the woman says, “and then call the cops.”

Cairel wrote in the caption of her video, “I was out with some friends last night in Portland and had a terrible encounter with a girl who was saying the nastiest most racist thing possible, after wasting my breath trying to knock some sense into her I just let her speak.”

Although Cairel did not capture the moment on video, the incident was sparked when the woman in the Hyundai mocked her with an Asian accent.

“It started when she had said in the most demeaning Poor excuse of a supposed “Asian” accent that “She’s Asian, she can’t see that’s why she can’t drive”” Cairel wrote. “I was parked next to her and i did not instigate this at all.”

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was the first to start recording. “She was the one to pull out her phone first saying “ this should go on instagram” and started recording me,” Cairel explained. “I literally just got back to my car from getting some voodoo donuts and just wanted to go home.”

“I never let this pass and wanna make sure this kind of behavior is seen and how people of color encounter this all the time,” Cairel continued. “I wanna make sure she gets seen and her racist, ignorant behavior is exposed.”
